		<description>So I happened to sit next to a radiologist on the plane, who clarified that the medieval torture device is what gyn&#039;s use when *they* perform this procedure, whereas radiologists go with the more gentle speculum + balloon they insert as a small catheter and then blow up inside to create the seal. Pretty nifty!</description>

I am a SMC too, and found you at &#039;My Pathway to Motherhood.&#039;  I had to laugh at your account of the HSG.  I had one a couple years ago when I was trying to conceive my son.  That clamp thingy they put on your nether parts has to be a medieval torture device!

I got pregnant the very next cycle after the HSG.  My doc said maybe it &#039;blew out the cobwebs.&#039;  I guess that is a more &#039;layman&#039;s term&#039; for cellular debris, lol.  
I hope that it works for you too!</description>
